Celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Looking at US America250 public art project with the Downtown State College Improvement District and the Palmer Museum of Art- and the dedication of Manny’s new mural- a reproduction of Two Sisters (1925) by American artist John Sloan, featuring two LatinX sitters from Williamsport, PA!

Essential Tremors 7:00 pm

Before Marisa Anderson’s performance, we’re thrilled to host a live-taping of NPR’s Essential Tremors, a show in which musicians and other creators talk about the songs that shaped who they are. Hosted by Matthew Byars and Lee Gardner, this conversation with Marisa Anderson will explore the stories behind her music. Essential Tremors is distributed by WUOT in Tennessee.

Kick off Rhoneymeade Fest with an intimate performance by Marisa Anderson, the guitarist re-imagining the landscape of American music. Classically trained, Anderson honed her skills playing in country, jazz and circus bands. Her current work is focused on a mid-20th century archive of recorded music from the Islamic world, Southeast Asia and the Soviet Union.

Full bar boasting PA spirits, craft N/A drinks, and homemade food available onsite at Manny’s.
