DMLane is a multi instrumental solo musical project based out of Johnstown, PA. Primarily focusing on drum set, percussion and electronics, live performances tend to be fully improvised or improvised around subtle (or not so subtle) themes and structures.
Sometimes piano and wind instruments enter the picture with the overall intention being to build a scattered rhythmic atmospheric experience that sounds like it has been playing on an obscure radio station for eternity. The station signal is just briefly coming into the clear before fading away again…
DMLane draws from many influences ranging from the likes of Jerome Cooper to M.J. Harris to Maryanne Amacher to Lightning Hopkins.
