Rapunzel’s Head Lice is the only band that isn’t for posers. A new collaboration between Adam Arritola (drums, electronics, vocals) and Max Gordon Wheeler (guitar, electronics, vocals). While currently based in Rochester, New York, their collaboration was birthed in Hagi, Japan in February of 2025.

Completely improvised in nature, the band draws on all styles heavy/progressive/jazz influenced music— something they have both very deeply explored and have shared their love of with the world through radio shows on FM airwaves. 

The project encompasses the feeling of the harshness of the struggles of humanity while sprinkling in a healthy dose of performative laughing gas.
