Lollise is a musician, visual artist and fashion designer from Botswana based in NYC. After self-releasing two EPs, Lollise is poised to release her debut full-length album in September on Switch Hit Records.

After many years of recording and touring with Akoya Afrobeat, Underground System and the FELA! band, Lollise shares her own bold Afro-futurist pop sound, rich with analog synths, layers of percussion and gentle waves of ambient noise, with influences from '80s and '90s South African bubblegum and kwaito with new wave and art-pop: Afro-future soul, future roots, genreless Afro music.

Lollise has performed extensively in New York, including: Brooklyn Museum First Saturdays, Elsewhere, Public Records, Little Island Festival, Sultan Room and Symphony Space. Her music has been featured on Okay Africa, Bandcamp Daily and New Sounds with John Schaefer on WNYC radio.

“Lollise brings her own personal brand of Afrofuturist soul, full of songs that tackle some very Earthbound topics but set in an interplanetary universe centered on Planet Africa.”
— Jonathan Schaefer, New Sounds on WNYC

“A full-on endorphin rush with body-shaking beats and glorious, hooky vocal melodies.”
— Bandcamp New and Notable
